Commercial Bay is Auckland's newest shopping, beauty, hospitality and commercial precinct with the highest concentration of high quality retail, food and beverage in the city, a luxury hotel and the new PWC tower. Located in the heart of Auckland City, Commercial Bay is where the city begins.
Pilot has worked with Commercial Bay since before its opening in 2020, helping to lift the profile and awareness of the precinct through it’s online channels. With the impact of Covid-19, raising visibility and awareness of Auckland’s new epicenter online was crucial and continues to be a large focus of the precinct’s marketing strategy.
We worked closely alongside Commercial Bay from the beginning to ensure all key aspects of its digital presence were optimised from launch. This included Search Engine Optimisation, setting up Google Search Console, advising on organic content, through to the creation and implementation of a considered Facebook and Google advertising strategy.
Following the initial set-up phase, our core goal has been growing awareness of Commercial Bay within Auckland, to regional travellers and international travellers as they start to arrive in New Zealand. Our approach has been multifaceted across various channels including Instagram, Facebook, SEM and Google. Each part being utilised to play a core role in pushing the key selling points of the precinct - from Valet parking, exclusive events, restaurant & eatery promotions, through to the range of retail stores. We are consistently reaching over 300,000 people a month in Auckland across the 3 core target markets for Commercial Bay, with a high interaction rate of over 2%.
Alongside providing advertising expertise, we continue to consult with Commercial Bay on a wide-range of digital marketing activity; from the performance of physical marketing & organic content, through to providing website analytics and audits to help improve the overall digital experience with the brand.
